About the Artist/Photographer
I was born and raised in New Hampshire. I lived near the White Mountain region of the state and as a child I always enjoyed the simple things in life - being out in nature. As early adolescence arrived I took such things for granted and went out to search for more....

I went to New Hampshire College, received a BS in Business Administration and after graduating moved to Boston, Massachusetts to work for an advertising agency. In 1987 I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and continued to work in the corporate world for various companies.

In 2002, I had a bout with breast cancer and as it so happens it changed my life. It brought back the lost inner child - finding the simple joy in EVERYTHING all around us. I tapped into my inner self and unleashed exorbitant amounts of creativity. I poured my creations onto canvas with acrylic paint in an abstract way and now have expanded into digital photography. Both mediums allow me a new outlet to explore. I find it particularly interesting how one can look through the lens of a camera and see something new each time - even if looking at the exact same subject matter. It could be the effects of such natural elements as light and shadowing that can change its appearance or your mental state of mind at the time, something that may seem unappealing to one can be beautiful to another.
